Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in flight and the people I meet along the way!
I hope you enjoy the wonderings of an old grey hair!
Stay Safe,
Iām a pilot, piper, paramedic, FDNY EMS Captain (Retired), a Volunteer Firefighter and a part time educator for Laerdal Medical.
Although I do not own an airplane (yet), I do own the tail number N343NF. As a member of the FDNY for 27 years, I responded to many incidents, both large and small. I was at both attacks on the World Trade Center 1993 and 2001 and by the Grace of God was standing where the North Tower did not fall. I never thought that I would ever see my family again and resigned myself to whatever fate would have in store. I worked along side my Brother and Sister Firefighters, Paramedics, Police Officers and EMS personnel unceasingly for almost 48 hours before being fortunate enough to return home. Tragically, we lost many friends and family that day, but even more tragically, we are losing them still.
It is my intention with this tail number to be a constant reminder of not just the 343 FDNY members that perished that day, but for all who gave so much of themselves so that others might live. Ultimately, I hope to be able to purchase my own aircraft and proudly display this tail number so that where ever I go our brothers and sisters who have made the Supreme Sacrifice will never be forgotten.
